Worcester-Harold “Larry” Kelley, Jr., 92, of Worcester,  passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Dodge Park Nursing Center. 

 

Larry was born on March 31, 1931, in Worcester, the son of Margaret (O’Connell) and Harold Kelley. Larry spent  25 years of his working years at Thom McAnn Shoes. He was a longtime member of St. Stephen’s Church. He was a fun, loving and vibrant man that was known for his comedic personality and the ability to fill an entire room with laughter.  When Larry, known as the “Song and Dance Man,” was not cracking his one-liners he would be found dancing and enjoying the music of Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Judy Collins, to name a few. “Send in the Clowns” and “Play One for Me” were a couple of his favorite songs. 

 

Larry will be deeply missed by his loving wife, of 52 years, Natalie A. (Mazzone) Kelley; a brother, Gerald Kelley and his wife Gail of Cherry Valley and many

nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Three siblings, Donald Kelley, Richard “Butch” Kelley and Joan Bogan predeceased him. 

 

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Dodge Park Rest Home and Notre Dame Hospice Care for all their support and care of Larry.

 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Larry’s life with calling hours at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., on Tuesday, April 18 from 9:30-10:30am with A Funeral Mass to follow at  11am in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry’s name to the Acer Society at American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
