WORCESTER- Hector L. Cirilo, 79, passed away on December 29, 2022.
He was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on December 25, 1943 son of the late Marcelo Cirilo and Ricarda Burgos. Hector was employed for many years as handyman as he was a jack of all trades and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
A man of deep faith, he was ordained a chaplain and enjoyed ministering to others. He was an avid fisherman and fan of the Boston Red Sox, very proud of his Puerto Rican heritage, and loved to cook and spend time with his family. He was known for his great sense of humor and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He leaves behind his children, Hector “Lorenzo” Haskell, Tiffany Cirilo, Selina Cirilo, and Kimberly Cirilo all of Lowell, MA, and was preceded in death by his son Hector “Dominic” Cirilo, also of Lowell, MA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will celebrate his life with visiting hours on Thursday, January 5th from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm at the Callahan Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrte St., Worcester. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 6th at 2pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Rd., Winchendon.
