Helen I. (Mahoney) Aromando 75, of 35 Vincent Ave. died Wednesday (Dec.11) at Saint Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after an illness.

She leaves four sons, Ralph T. Aromando III and Kenneth J. Aromando of Worcester, Paul Aromando of Oxford and John M. Aromando of Auburn, two daughters, her caregiver, Lisa Aromando-Smith of Worcester and June L. Burroughs of Rutland, four brothers, Donald Mahoney, Michal Mahoney and Dennis Mahoney all of Worcester and Maurice Mahoney of Lowell and a sister, Kathleen St. Amond of Worcester, nine grandchildren and nephews and nieces. Two brothers, John Mahoney and James Mahoney both of Worcester, and four sisters, Margaret Breault, Victoria Murphy, and Eileen Martellotta all of Worcester and Maureen Caron of Brookfield all predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Maurice and Victoria (Skogstedt) Murphy. She graduated from Girls Trade School.

She was a Waitress for Daka Food Services at Worcester Polytechnical Institute prior to that she worked as a waitress at the Knights of Columbus in Shrewsbury.She was a member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Church.

A Funeral will be held Saturday (Dec.14) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 9 Hammond St. (www.faybrothers.com) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church 5 Spaulding St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling Hours are Friday (Dec.13) from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
