Helen R. Donahue, 87, formerly of Arthur St., died Thursday, January 31, in St. Francis Home after an illness.
She leaves a brother, John C. Donahue of Marlboro and Florida and a sister, Marguerite M. Shea of Worcester; several nephews and nieces and grand nephews and grand nieces. . She was born in Worcester, daughter of John M. and Julia T. (Murphy) Donahue. She graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester State Teachers College and received a Master Degree from Worcester Sate College.
She was the Assistant Principal at Burncoat Preparatory School for many years, before retiring.
She was a member of the National Education Association, the Massachusetts Retired Association and the Retired State, County and Municipal Workers Association. She was a life long member of St. Stephen's Church.
The funeral will be held Monday, February 4, from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no Calling Hours.
