Helen M. (Ladner) Gilrain 84, of 8 Edwidge St. died Friday, May 14, in the Hermitage Healthcare Center.
Her husband Paul A. Gilrain died in 1986. She leaves a sister, Barbara M. White of Worcester; a sister in law, Bernice Ladner of Holden; nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. A son, Paul T. Gilrain, two brothers, Kenneth Ladner and Robert Ladner and a sister, Adele Graham, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Mogan) Ladner and graduated from Wing Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Gilrain was a secretary for the Worcester Public Health Department for many years, prior to that she was a nurse for several years. She was a member of Christ the King Church and its Woman's Guild.
The Funeral will be held Monday, May 17, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Sunday, May 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Assoc. 120 Thomas St. Worcester 01608.
