Helen F. (Kenary) Haynes 83, formerly of Monticello Ave. died Wednesday (Sept 4) in Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center after an illness.

Her husband Charles H. Haynes died in 1984. She leaves a brother Roy V. Kenary of Shrewsbury and several nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces. Three brothers Edward J. Kenary, William C. Kenary and Arthur T. Kenary all of Worcester predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester daughter of Joseph A. and Ella T. (Donahue) Kenary. She graduated from South High School and has lived in West Boylston for 48 years.

She was a Telephone Operator for New England Telephone Company retiring many years ago.

She was a member and Eucharistic Minister of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and its Woman's Club, she also taught Religious Education and served on the team of the RCIA program. She served as the Assistant Lay Director of the Cursillo Movement in the Diocese of Worcester retiring in 1996 and was a member of its Leaders School for several years.

A Funeral will be held Monday (Sept 9) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. (www.faybrothers.com) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.Calling Hours are Sunday (Sept 8) from 4 to7 p.m. at the funeral home.
