Helen M. Murphy

WORCESTER- Helen M. Murphy, 70, of Worcester, died Wednesday, October 31 in UMASS Memorial Hospital. She leaves her sister Ann Marie Murphy with whom she lived. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Daniel J. and Ann T. (Kierce) Murphy. She graduated from St. Peter's High School and Worcester State College where she earned her Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Education. Helen was a schoolteacher in the Worcester Public School system for forty years and her last teaching position was at Chandler Magnet Elementary School. She was a longtime member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and she loved gardening.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, November 3 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street.
