WORCESTER
Helen (Zellmer) Berkiel Visceto, 91, of 37 Greenwood Street died Sunday, April 17 in the Radius Healthcare of Millbury, after an illness. Her first husband Frank J. Berkiel died in 1978 and her second husband Anthony Visceto died in 1988. She leaves 2 sons, Frank J. Berkiel, Jr. of Worcester and Robert Berkiel of Sterling, 3 daughters, Beverly Maurais of Worcester, Carol Bazin of Sutton and Gail Donnelly of Colorado Springs, CO, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her grandson, David Maurais, Sr. and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Martin R. and Helen (Kaminski) Zellmer. Mrs. Visceto was an Attendant Nurse at Worcester State Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of St. Catherine of Sweden Church, was very active in the activities department at Radius Healthcare of Millbury and loved to crochet and knit.
The funeral will be held Friday, April 22, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 1 Wiser Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, April 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
