WORCESTER-Henry B. Rand, 91, a resident of the Overlook in Charlton, died Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home after failing health.
He was born in Worcester, son of George C. and Elizabeth M. (Vokes) Rand and graduated from Commerce High School. Mr. Rand proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict.
Henry lived in North Grafton for over 50 years and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He worked in the abrasives department at Norton Company retiring after 35 years. Henry was a 33rd Degree Mason with the 1933 Athelstan Lodge and belonged to the Northborough YMCA.
Henry was predeceased by his wife Alice R. (Kokernak) Rand in 2006 and their son, Wesley Rand in 1974. He is survived by his brother, George C. Rand, Jr. of Worcester, two nephews, Brian Rand of New Bedford and David Rand of Worcester, and several grand nephews, grand nieces and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 12th at 11:00am at North Cemetery, 505 Main Street in Oxford. There are no calling hours.
