Henry G. Wasiak

WEST BOYLSTON
Henry G. Wasiak, 90, of West Boylston died Tues., Nov. 9 in UMASS Medical Center. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Jane (Charko) Wasiak; a daughter, Lisa W. and her husband John W. Irvine, IV of Brockport, NY; three grandchildren, Robert G. Rock, III, Joli W. Irvine and Alexi Rae Irvine; two sisters, Wanda Buyniski of Worcester and Delores Olson of Spring Hill, FL; and nieces and nephews. He was born in Hamtrameck, MI son of Szymon and Gladys (Olszewska) Wasiak and served in the Massachusetts National Guard.
Henry retired from the former Worcester County Hospital, prior to that he worked as a draftsman for many years at Crompton and Knowles Co. and served as a Special Policeman for the Town of West Boylston.
He was a member of the Worcester Rod and Gun Club, the Worcester Nimrods and the NRA. He enjoyed selling, buying and repairing fire arms and was a hunting and fishing enthusiast. He also loved to play his violin and had his own band in the early 50's and played in several Worcester clubs.
