WORCESTER-Ignacio Zuniga, 44, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after an illness.
Nacho, as he was also known was born in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico, son of Ignacio Zuniga and Maria del Carmen Garcia. He has lived in the United States for 28 years and has lived in California and Massachusetts. He worked as a landscaper for many years. Nacho had a passion for soccer all his life and loved to follow all the teams, especially during the World Cup. He was a kind and happy man who found it easy to make friends no matter where he was.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Maria Madelena (Nascimento) Zuniga and their four children, Ignacio Sebastian, Ana Leticia, Izac and Izais. He also leaves nine siblings, Concepcion, Suzana, Mercedez, Ernesto, Maria, Adrian, Hugo, Lelicia and Jose and many nephews and nieces, including Salvador Coraceiro.
Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday, June 3rd from 5 until 7pm at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Please note that due to the current state restrictions, precautionary measures will be in place including social distancing, limiting the number of visitors in the funeral home at a time and the use of facial masks.
A Mass of Christian Burial will Thursday, June 4th at 10am at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 41 Hamilton Street. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
