HOLDEN-Ingeborg (Raid) Kojalo,98, formerly of Paugus Road passed away Sunday, November 25 at the Christopher House.
She leaves her husband of 74 years, V. Walter Kojalo; two children, Jacob Kojalo and his wife, Anne of West Boylston and Irene Kitzrow and her husband, Christopher of Albany, NY; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Three siblings, Kaljo Raid, Mai Kestens, and Aida Ilves predeceased her.
Ingeborg was born in, Tartu, Estonia and graduated from the University of Tartu with a degree in nursing. She fled Estonia during the communist regime and was a nurse in Germany during the end of WWII. Ingeborg along with her family came to America in 1951 and settled in the Town of Holden in 1974. She worked at Astra Pharmaceuticals for 29 years, before retiring. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.
A Private Funeral will be held in Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 111 Park Ave., Worcester, 01609.
