Irene (Gedymin) Jacobsen

WEST BOYLSTON- Irene E. (Gedymin) Jacobsen, 89, passed away Sunday, September 30th in the Sterling Village Nursing Center one day short of her 90th Birthday.
Her husband of 54 years, Ralph S. "Stan" Jacobsen passed away in 2005. She leaves her son, Craig S. and his wife Lori Jacobsen of Holden; four grandsons, Jeffrey, Zachary, Joey and Thomas and nieces and nephews. A son, Scott C. Jacobsen, a brother, Edward Gedymin and a sister, Monica Budzyna predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Victoria (Sadowsky) Gedymin and graduated from Commerce High School.
Irene worked for Euro American Air Freight Company for several years before retiring. Irene enjoyed rug braiding, painting and summers spent on Moody Beach. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and cooking them family dinners.
A Funeral Service will be held privately. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Beaman Public Library, 8 Newton St., West Boylston, 01583. Arrangements in the care of Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street.
