Iris “Noemi” Ramos Rolon

Age 59, Worcester, MA

Iris was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico on November 3rd 1964. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Sister. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 21st, 2023.

She leaves behind her Mother Tomasa Rolon. Her Daughter Nicole Hughes and her children Nylaeh Thompson and Kapri Kormah. Her Son Martell Hughes, Daughter-in-law Addie Correa, and their children Saniyah Hughes and Kamerin Hughes. The father of her two children, Don Hughes, with whom she spent most of her life with. Her Sisters Amaryllis Ramos, Rosa Ramos, Maria Ramos, and her husband Joseph Lopez all of Worcester, Claribell Ramstorm and her husband Paul Ramstorm of Vermont and her only brother Jose Ramos and his wife Gloria Ramos of Maine. She also leaves behind her stepdaughters, Tarelle Tolson, and Megan Kelley, and her children Kalea and Kayah Ancahas. She also leaves behind many Nephews, Nieces, Great Nephews & Great Nieces, and many family and friends she truly adored. Iris is Predeceased by Her father Rosendo “Ray” Ramos, Uncle Edwin Ramos, and dog Precious Ramos.

 Iris was a 1982 graduate of North High School where she played on the girl's basketball team. She worked at South Bay Mental Health for several years and for the past three years, she was currently working as a PCA for Wells Health Care. She loved hosting Sunday dinners, and family gatherings for the holidays and was known to be the grill master during the Summer. She enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies whom she loved so much. She enjoyed spending time with her son and daughter taking daily joyrides. Iris loved vacations, watching the news, lifetime, and Hallmark movies. Her favorite color was red, it was always on her nails. Iris was the life of the party, her infectious laugh, and her jokes made everyone love her even more. She will be missed tremendously by all.

Calling hours are at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street Worcester, MA 01608  on January 4th, 2024 from 5 pm to 8 pm and Funeral/ Burial Service on January 5th, 2024 at 10:30 am followed by a burial service in Notre Dame Cemetery.
