Irma V. Balcom

WEST BOYLSTON

Irma V. (Travis) Balcom, 88, formerly of May St. passed away Fri. Aug 10.
Her husband William C. Balcom died in 1964. She leaves two children, William D. Balcom of Worcester and Winona L. Jaskolka of Harnando, FL; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a great great grandchild. A daughter, Patricia A. Leonardi died in March.

She was born in West Boylston, daughter of Leon and Angie (Western) Travis and graduated from West Boylston schools. Irma was a lifelong member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church and its choir. She had a beautiful voice that could always be picked out among the others. She loved to knit and crochet and donated many items to those less fortunate. She was an avid sports fan but loved the Red Sox the most. She was generous, loving and kind to all. She will be sadly missed but will live on forever in our hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held Sat. Aug 25, at 11 AM in Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 North Main St. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the care of FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 North Main St., West Boylston, MA 01583.
