MILLBURY-Irving B. Anderson, 87, of 398 Greenwood St. died Saturday, Oct. 22 at Coes Pond Hospice Residence.

He leaves his wife, Myrtis W. (Wheeler) Anderson; two brothers, Lester W. Anderson of Millbury and Oscar E. Anderson, Jr. of Worcester; a sister, Evelyn L. Magnuson of Sutton; several nieces, nephews, grannieces and grandnephews.

He was born in Worcester the son of Oscar E. Anderson, Sr. and Edith C. (Berg) Anderson and has lived in Millbury for over 50 years.. Irving was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corp during WW II where he earned the Distinguised Flying Cross while serving in Burma and the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Irving was a meat cutter for 12 years with Anderson & Sundquist Market and then 1st National Stores for 21 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Covenant Church and the Morning Star Lodge of Masons.

Funeral services and burial will be private. LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St, Worcester is directing arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlenhem Covenant Church Memorial Fund, 46 Greenwood St., Worcester, MA 01607.
