Isaac Nee Afutu

WORCESTER-Isaac Nee Afutu, 74, died Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, after a long illness.

He was born in Accra, Ghana on April 29, 1947, son of the late Robert Sunkwa Afutu and Rebecca Ayima Clottey. Isaac worked for Spectrum Health Services for several years prior to his illness.

Isaac is survived by two children; Isaac Ayite Afutu, Jr. and Rebecca A. Afutu, both of Worcester, a step-daughter, Elizabeth Quist in Ghana, a granddaughter, Destiny Striggner and two step grandchildren, Daniel Letsu and Desmond, Letsu, Jr. He also leaves two brothers, Joseph Afutu and Albert Afutu, both of Worcester, two sisters, Mary and Grace Afutu, both in Ghana, the mother of his children, Rebecca Badu, and many nephews and nieces. Isaac was predeceased by three siblings; Bishop S. T. Afutu, Salome Afutu and Edmond Afutu.

Mr. Afutu's Funeral will be held Saturday, October 2nd from 8:00am until 10:30am at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
