WORCESTER-Iver L. Pearson, 91, formerly of Hunnewell Road and the Briarwood Community, passed on Monday, June 28, in Knollwood Nursing Center.
His wife of 68 years, Lorraine H. (Gobin) Pearson, predeceased him in 2006. He leaves his daughter, Carol Jones of Worcester; his grandchildren, Lorraine Houle of Rutland, Cheryl Falcone and her husband Steven of Charlton, Scott Jones of Florida, and David Obenauer of South Dakota; and he was blessed with several great and great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry Pearson, a sister, Anna C. Norman and a granddaughter, Barbara Henry.
He was born in Worcester, son of Arnold and Caroline (Moberg) Pearson and was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. Mr. Pearson was a retiree of Norton Company. He was a devoted husband and family man with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanics, reading and traveling. Iver was always a true gentleman and will be sadly missed by his loved ones.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, July 9 at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Visiting hours will also be held on Friday, July 9 from 10:30 until the time of the service.
