NASHUA, NH- J. Lesley (Cronin) Christenson, 70, of Nashua, died Saturday, July 12 in Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington after complications from heart surgery. She leaves her husband of 46 years, Jim Christenson; three sons, David A. Christenson and his wife Janette of Clackamas, OR, Jeffrey P. Christenson of Plano, TX and John E. Christenson of Seattle, WA; two daughters, Karen L. Christenson of Nashua, NH and Maria L. Bernier of Westerly, RI and two grandchildren, Vincent and Marcella Christenson of Clackamas, OR. She also leaves two brothers, Gordon Cronin of North Hampton, MA and Carleton Cronin of Los Angeles, CA; her sister, Mary-Linda Lusk of Worcester, and several cousins, nephews and nieces.
She was born in Boston and raised in Worcester, daughter of Francis P.L. and Dorothy (McDermott) Cronin and graduated from South High School and Boston University. She lived in Georgia and Texas for many years, settling in The Colony, TX. Mrs. Christenson was a physical therapist for many years and retired from Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX. She was an avid reader and enjoyed classical music and the opera.
A service will be held on Friday, July 18 at 12:00 PM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester, MA 01608. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service in the funeral home.
