Jack H. Batchelder

Jack H. Batchelder, 74, of 136 Sterling St. died Thursday, May 12, in UMass Medical Center. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Maureen E. (Urton) Batchelder; a son, Keith H. and his wife Cindy Batchelder and their children, William H. and Theodore A. of Sterling; a daughter, Lee E. and her husband John Smith and their children, Kali A. and Megan E. of Shrewsbury; a brother, Carl Batchelder of Arlington, VA and nieces and nephews. He was born in Dover, NH son of Leon W. and Claire E. (Smith) Batchelder and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

Jack was an electronic technician for Program Test Sources for several years, before retiring. He was a member of the South Acton Congregational Church and a former Colonel and President of the Acton Minutemen and former Captain of the Acton Police Civil Defense Force.
