WEST BOYLSTON-Jack Bicknell, 74, of West Boylston passed away Mon., July 23.
His wife, Marie R. (Watrous) Bicknell passed away in 1981. He leaves his longtime companion, Betty Sukis and her children, Carol, Stephen and Rob; his four sons, Jack and his wife Debbie, Bob and his wife Patty, Michael and his wife Mary and Kevin Bicknell all of Worcester. He also leaves his grandchildren, Elizabeth, John, John Patrick, Kathleen, Michael and Aiden Bicknell and Megan and Marc Sukis; and his sister Mary Goodney of Webster, nieces and nephews.
He was born in Westerly, RI the son of Francis and Eleanor (Power) Bicknell and graduated from St. John's High School and Holy Cross College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. He was an epidemiologist with the Department of Public Health in Worcester. Jack was a longtime member of the Main South American Legion Post %23341 and the Worcester Lodge of Elks. Jack was an avid golfer and longtime member of Hillcrest Country Club (But still could not putt very well) but loved to golf.
Jack's funeral will be Friday, July 27 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Visiting hours will be Thursday, July 26 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
