Jack V Miskinis

WORCESTER-John V. “Jack” Miskinis, 69, of Worcester passed away Sunday, December 31.

His wife of 28 years, Susan M. (Rathbun) McGrath passed away in 2009. He leaves six children,  Kevin J. McGrath, Patrick M. McGrath and his wife Veronica, Colleen M. and her husband Michael Shanley, Kerry A. Brunelle, Kelly McGrath and Krista Gransewicz all of Worcester; ten grandchildren, Marisa, Matthew, Brendan and his wife, Allie, Ryan, Riley, Reaghan, Jack, Sean, Sonny and Andrew; a great grandson, Oliver; a brother, William  and his wife, Jean Miskinis of Holden; a sister, Mary Miskinis of Worcester; two nephews, William and Andrew and a niece, Elizabeth. He was born in Worcester, the son of William and Maureen (Burns) Miskinis and graduated from Holy Name High School and attended Worcester State College.

Jack was a supervisor for many years for the Department of Youth Services. He enjoyed golfing at Wachusett Country Club, his weekly card games with friends, following the New England sports teams and traveling to different major league baseball parks with family. But most of all he loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Visting Hours are Saturday, January 6 from 9-10:30am in Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Funeral Service at 1030am. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery will private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. at www.diabetes.org.
