WORCESTER-Jack Welburn, 86, formerly of 71 Harley Drive, died on Friday, May 6, 2005 at the Hospice Foundation on Coes Pond. He was the husband of Mary (Hamilton) Welburn who died in 1977. He is survived by his four children, Jack Welburn, Jr., 28 Cobbleston Lane, Worcester, MA, Suzanne McEnaney, 2 Valley Street, West Boylston, MA, Avis Hendrickx, PO Box 151 of Grafton, MA and Paul Welburn, 671 East Main Street, Middletown, CT. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, Christopher Welburn, Sean Welburn, Eric Welburn, Mark Welburn, Patrick McEnaney, Leo Fantini, Jason Fantini, Mary Fantini Harris, Zachary Welburn and Lucas Welburn. He was predeceased by two grandsons, Kevin McEnaney in 1985 and Daniel McEnaney in 1996. He also leaves five Great Grandchildren.
Mr. Welburn worked for MetLife Insurance Company and Harper's Data Services. He was a Navy veteran and served in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 204 in West Boylston.
Funeral services will be held at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston on Monday, May 9 from 6pm - 8pm. Those who choose to attend a final farewell at Fay Brothers can arrive at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 10 and burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester.
