James E. Dumas, 86, of Hamilton St. died Wednesday, Nov. 15 in Radius Healthcare. His wife Ruth A. (Fontaine) Dumas died in 1996. He leaves, six children, Michael J. Dumas of Wareham; Anne R. Horgan of W. Boylston; Pamela J. Sanderson of Worcester; Linda I. Moulin of York, ME; Jeanne M. Rossi of Worcester and Elaine M. Dumas of Leicester; two sisters, Eileen Davenport and Genevieve Foy both of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Leo and Genevieve (Tully) Dumas and graduated from St. Stephen's High School and was a Veteran of WWII.
James was a custodian for the City of Worcester School Dept. He was a member of St. Stephen's Church, the Main South American Legion Post %23341 and enjoyed playing golf with the growlers at Hillcrest Country Club.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, at 10 AM in St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seven Hills Foundation, 81 Hope Ave., Worcester, 01603.
