James A. Gordon

WORCESTER-James A. Gordon, Sr., 69, of Worcester passed away Monday at St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill.

He leaves his wife of 10 years, Maria S. Hernandez; his son, James A. Gordon, Jr.; two daughters, Gail LaForest and Lisa A. Gamble both of Worcester; three stepsons, Elmer, Jose and Santo Portillo all of Worcester; three brothers, Herbert, Bernard and Harold Gordon and two sisters, Marie Watson and Joyce Forget all of New York; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His sister, Patricia predeceased him.

He was born in Schenectady, NY the son of James A. and Josephine M. (Bennett) Gordon. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 31 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 1 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
