STERLING-James E. Helmboldt, 58, passed away Monday, April 6 at home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 12 years, Nanette M. (Ferreira) Helmboldt; his stepchildren, Dennis King of West Boylston, Drew King of New York, Andrea King of Worcester and Brian King of Brookline; two brothers, William Helmboldt of Walpole and Edward Helmboldt of Fresno, CA; three sisters, Rose Gianopoulos of N. Attleboro, Helen Smolak of Foxboro and Rita Helmboldt of Foxboro and many nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Albert, Frank and John Helmboldt predeceased him.
He was born in Roxbury the son of Albert L. and Josephine (Cummings) Helmboldt and graduated from Quinsigamond Community College. Mr. Helmboldt was a substance abuse counselor for the Pathway House in Gardner. Previously he worked as a longtime union painter.
