WORCESTER-James M. Quinn, 78 of Worcester passed away Thursday, September 10 after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Westfield, the son of George and Claire (Foley) Quinn and raised in Worcester. He attended St. Stephen's School and Commerce High School.
Early in his career, he delivered milk for Lundgren and Jonaitis for several years, later after obtaining his CDL, he became a proud member of Local 170 Teamsters Union and remained so for 20 years. In his retirement years, he worked for Fortune Auto transport.
James fondly known to everyone as "Pops" and by his buddies as "Crash Quinn", was a true Grafton Hiller. He could always be found at a local establishment enjoying keno and a Miller High Life (in a glass). He loved old car, especially Pontiac GTOs. He was a member of the Vernon Hill American Legion Post 435 and the Eagles Club 4311.
He leaves behind two sons, Joseph J. Quinn and his wife, Dana of Grafton and James M. Quinn and his wife, Renita of Warre; three grandchildren, Dyllan, Jackson and Alise and one great-grandson, Beckham.
Visiting Hours are Thursday, September 17 from 5 to 7pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Burial will be private.
