WORCESTER-James M. “Whitey” White, 65, passed away Thursday, August 15 in the Lahey Clinic after a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 23 years, Erin K. (McHugh) White; his mother, Judith A. (Sawyer) White of Old Orchard Beach, ME; two sisters, Betsy A. Townsend and her husband, Jay of Heber City, UT and Evelyn F. White of Old Orchard Beach, ME; mother-in-law Linda McHugh of Mt. Pleasant, SC, sister-in-law Kerry (McHugh) Leach and her husband Craig of Mt. Pleasant, SC, 6 nieces, a great niece & nephew and his two current favorite dogs, Henry and George. A brother, John M. White, great-niece, Maibel Turner and father-in-law Robert McHugh predeceased him. He was born in Jonesport, ME, son of the late Andre M. White and graduated from Cheverus High School and Assumption College. He served in the US Army.
Whitey was a salesman for Polar Beverages. Before that Whitey was everyone’s favorite bartender at various Worcester establishments and co-owned WD Trash Removal Services. He enjoyed golfing with friends and watching New England sports teams, other than the New England Patriots! Whitey was an amazing & loyal friend to many.
All are welcome to the funeral Mass on Saturday, August 24, 10AM, at St. Bernards Church, 228 Lincoln St, Worcester, MA. Burial will be private.
