Jan Donovan peacefully stepped out of this earthly home and into her eternal home on December 23rd, 2018 surrounded by all those she so dearly loved.
She says goodbye to her first born son, Carl Washburn and his companion Maureen Breeds of Worcester, Michele Morrison and husband Paul of Worcester, her daughter Tina Boucher and husband Joseph of Oxford and last born son Michael Donovan and wife Laura of Worcester. She says hello to Jesus her Lord and Savior and her daughter Karen who has been patiently awaiting her arrival for many years.
She says goodbye to her seven grandchildren, John McMahon Jr., Shawn and Joshua Donovan, Jessica and Zach Washburn, Ryan and John Morrison, to her three great grandchildren, Ricky, John and Cole, to her niece Rhonda and nephew Thomas. Jan says goodbye to her closest and best friend, Carol Kemp of Worcester whose friendship has spanned four decades.
Jan's brother Thomas Hamparsoomian predeceased her earlier this year. Jan was the daughter of Thomas Hamp and Sophie (Niedzwiki) Hampar. She attended Grafton Street School and graduated from Commerce High School.
Jan Donovan made her home in Worcester all her life and despite having to work multiple jobs, she was able to be a wonderful homemaker and raise her four children. She made our house a "home", she instilled love and intangible values into each of her four children, five grandchildren and three adorable great grandchildren. Jan embodied a life full of virtue, beauty, grace, happiness and laughter. She demonstrated unconditional love and invested in the simple things in life that mattered. Family was priority and she went above and beyond more that anyone could ask to stay connected and to make sure that she expressed her love with thoughtful gestures. Jan loved traveling, reading, knitting and ceramics and whenever she had the opportunity she enjoyed the sunrays.
She conveyed value into her family, friends, co-workers and all those that she came into contact with. She had a wonderful wit about her along with a contagious smile and laughter to the very end. Mom had a way of doing and saying things that were priceless and now forever captured in our hearts. We thank God for the privilege and honor to have been blessed with such an incredible mom, role model and MATRIACH of the Donovan Family.
We love you mom and you will forever remain in our hearts until we see you again.
