Jane M. Brown

STERLING- Jane M. (Malmberg) Brown, 92, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021 under the loving care of her family and the compassionate staff at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston.

Her husband of 70 years, William Robert Brown passed away on December 18, 2018.

She was born in Worcester on May 22, 1928 a daughter of the late Elmer C. and Theresa B. (Russell) Malmberg, and most recently lived in Sterling. She was a graduate of South High School and took post graduate courses at Leicester High School and Quinsigamond Community College. Jane was an avid reader, an accomplished gardener, enjoyed skiing and traveling for many years and volunteered at and supported Conant Public Library in Sterling. Her beloved dogs, ChiChi and Poca were her constant companions for many years.

Jane's proudest accomplishments were her children. She leaves behind her son, David "Matt" Matthew Brown and his wife, Judith M. Tonelli-Brown of Rutland; five daughters, Pamela Lyons of Montague, Deborah S. Repekta of Cherry Valley, Andrea M. Ebinger of Ipswich, Cynthia A. Holland of Sterling and Carey A. Strombotne and her husband, Dion of Laguna Beach, CA; ten grandchildren, Sean Lyons, Nicholas and Adam Repekta, William Holland, Trevor and Tobin Brown, Henry and Cyrus Ebinger, and Rex and Derek Strombotne; six great-grandchildren, Cam, Erin, Robyn, Janie, Benjamin and Amelia. Jane was predeceased by her sister, Beryl Hanson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Jane's honor to Conant Public Library, 4 Meetinghouse Hill Rd, Sterling MA 01564

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday, June 19th at St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge St., Sterling. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Fay Brothers Life Celebration, 1 West Boylston St, West Boylston
