WORCESTER
Jane E. (Kelleher) Hartnett, 78, of Worcester, formerly of Auburn, died after a long illness on Tues., Jan. 22, with her loving family by her side.
Jane leaves her devoted husband of 53 years, Raymond E. Hartnett, three daughters, Patricia DePatie and her husband Michael of Paxton, Rosemary Hartnett of Leicester, Susan Madaio and her husband John of Paxton, two sons, Stephen Hartnett and his wife Helene of Oxford and Paul Hartnett of Leicester. Her beloved son, Michael predeceased her in 2006. Jane also leaves her grandchildren, Molly and Laura Madaio of Paxton and Daniel Hartnett of Oxford, and her sisters, Kathleen Balcom and Mary Dorsey both of Worcester. A sister, Anne Seal and a brother, John Kelleher predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Daniel H. and Mary V. (Lynch) Kelleher and graduated from South High School.
Jane worked for Paul Revere Life Insurance Company until leaving to start her family. Prior to her illness Jane was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Auburn. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished time spent with family and friends. The family wishes to acknowledge Jane's dedicated home caregivers, Bertha, Diane, and Cindy. We also wish to give a special thanks to the doctors and staff at Summitt Elder Service for their wonderful care of Jane.
The funeral will be held on Sat., Jan. 26, from Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Fri., Jan. 25, from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
