WORCESTER-Jane M. Healey, 91, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, November 2 in the St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield, RI
She was born in Worcester, daughter of John F. and Katherine L. (Londergan) Healey. She is survived by three cousins, Thomas Londergan of Worcester, Donna Fitzsimmons of Sutton and Edward Londergan of Warren and two dear friends, Mary Markey of Bellingham and Claire Leonard of N. Smithfield, RI.
She graduated from South High School and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing and Assumption College. She was a registered nurse for 43 years at St. Vincent Hospital. During those years, she taught professional student nurses and student practical nurses at the former David Hale Fanning Trade School. She was the first infection control nurse at the hospital and retired in 1993 after 14 years as the rheumatology practice nurse. She was a member of the St. Vincent Hospital Nursing Alumni and a lector and member of St. Joan of Arc Church.
A Visiting Hour will be held Monday, November 8 from 8:30 to 9:30am at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in Howard Cemetery, Northborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joan of Arc Church, Food Pantry.
