Janice Desmarais

AUBURN- Janice Ellen Desmarais, 71, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 16, 2019 at St. Vincent Medical Center, after a long illness.

She was born in Worcester on April 2, 1948, the daughter of the late George R. and Martha J. (Hippert) Desmarais and attended South High School, Worcester. Janice worked many years in retail. Janice loved the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren, going to parks and day trips to Boston. She loved walking, crocheting, crafting and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Lauren J. Desmarais, Cheryl L. Desmarais, Brian K. Desmarais and his fiancée, Lisa Hall; her siblings, Marty J. Campbell and her husband Bill, George Roy Desmarais, Richard A. Desmarais and his wife Sue, Dennis Burns and his wife, her grandchildren whom will miss their "Creena" dearly, Santos Sola, Dylan Desmarais, Peyton Lavallee, Luis and Bradley Gonzalez and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Frederick, Donald and James Burns.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Saturday, December 28th from 9:00am until 11:00am at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
