WORCESTER- Jayson Previn Daughtry, 36, passed away on March 4, 2022.

He was born in Boston on May 11, 1985 a son of Demetrius Daughtry and Florina Berry- Daughtry. He was raised in Worcester where he attended local schools, Belmont Street Community and Seven Hills Charter School, Jayson graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School Class of 2003 where he studied Carpentry, with some college credit from Mount Ida College And QCC.

Jayson worked at various meaningful jobs, most recently for Open Sky where he was a housing liaison for the homeless. Jayson loved swimming, music and collecting sneakers. He was an avid sports fan but football was his favorite, teams were the Golden State Warriors and the Las Vegas Raider. But more than anything else Jayson loved getting his haircut, 2 times a week to be exact. He would light up a room with his smile and infectious laugh and quick wit. He was a gentle giant with a big bear hug.

He leaves behind his parents, Demetrius Daughtry and Florina Berry- Daughtry, grandmother Barbra Daughtry,and his Late grandfather Charlie Daughtry of Valdosta Georgia. His daughter Maddilynn and her mother Dianna, his siblings William Daughtry & his wife Neida, Matthew Daughtry and his wife Felicia, Lee Aylward & his wife Alexandra all who are from Worcester. He leaves behind nieces and nephews; Gabriella 15, Maxwell 9, Mailloh 8, Kamren 5 and Wyatt 4 who called him uncle JAY. Jayson also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and many lifelong friends.

Family and friends will celebrate his life with visiting hours from 12pm until 3pm on Saturday, March 19th at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
