Jean Paul Bouthiller 72, of Auburn died Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Sunbridge-Sandalwood Nursing Center in Oxford.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Paula A. (Courtney) Bouthiller; five sons, Pierre Jean of Webster, James Christopher of Worcester, David Gerard of Auburn, Martin Paul of Worcester and Jean Rene of Oxford; three daughters, Mary Ann Riel of Sutton, Julie Marie Sweeney of Oxford, Andrea Louise Nowlan of Florida and 29 grandchildren. He was born in Worcester son of Auguste and Mariejulie (Pelletier) Bouthiller and graduated from Holy Name High School and Parks University. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Bouthiller was the president of Imperial Machine Corp. for many years, retiring several years ago. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the Civil Air Patrol and held a private pilots license. He was also an inventor and philanthropist and was the strongest man in the world, according to his children.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. Worcester, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling Hours are Friday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Assoc.
