Jean A. Cronin

WEST BOYLSTON - Jean A. (Casey) Cronin, 87, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023 at the Jewish Healthcare Center with her daughter Patti by her side.

She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Daniel F. and Violet (LaTulippe) Casey.  She was educated in Worcester schools. Jean was employed for her entire career at the former Paul Revere Life Insurance Company, serving as a Vice President of Systems Development when she retired in 1994.

Jean was an avid bridge player and volunteered with various local organizations. She liked to travel with family and friends and enjoyed trying her luck at Foxwoods Casino, but above all, her family meant the most to her.

She leaves behind her loving daughter, Patricia Jean, and her cherished grandchildren, Cole John Durkan and Sarah Patricia Durkan, all of Worcester; her siblings, William P. Casey of Spencer, Patricia Westerlind of Auburn and James Casey of Boylston; many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

She was predeceased by her husband John C. Cronin, Jr. in 1994 and her partner, Raymond L. Hebert in 2019. She was also predeceased by her brother, Daniel F. Casey in 2021.

Family and friends will celebrate Jean’s life with visiting hours on Monday, June 5^th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 6^th at St. George Catholic Church, 40 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be considered to a children’s charity of your choice, as Jean would often donate to various children’s charities throughout her lifetime.
