Jean M. Dowd

Jean M. (Frost) Dowd, age 87, died peacefully after period of declining health on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Jewish Health Care Center in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Dowd in 2014.

Jean was born in Worcester on September 8, 1936, daughter of the late Carl and Marie (Guerin) Frost. After graduating college, she taught elementary school for many years. Jean and her husband resided in Auburn where they raised their family.

She is survived by her sons John Dowd and wife, Mary, and Richard and wife, Susan; 3 granddaughters Kerri and Sara Dowd of Auburn, Ma and Jenna Lucky of Coral Springs, Florida. And her brother, Richard Frost and his wife, Margaret of Biddeford Maine.

The Dowd family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff of the 7ICU nurses at UMass University Campus, The Life Skill Center of Auburn and The Jewish Health Care Center of Worcester for the dedication and care given to Jean.

All services were held privately for the family.
