Worcester- Jeanette Kandoyan, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 peacefully with her family by her side after a brief illness.
She is survived by two sons, Raffi A. Kandoyan of Worcester and Vrej A. Kandoyan and his wife Anna of Woburn; her daughter, Anne C. Carney and her husband Bill of Oxford; five grandchildren, Gabriella, Arakel, Sarah, William and Allison; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Agop (Jack) Kandoyan who passed away in 2009.
She was born in Beirut, Lebanon on February 9, 1929, daughter of the late Meguerdich and Chake (Capdjian) Naccachian. Mrs. Kandoyan worked at Montrose Company in Auburn for many years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking traditional Armenian dishes for her family and friends, time spent at the beach, and playing backgammon and bingo. She valued her Armenian heritage and above all cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 26th from 10:00 to 11:00am at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St., Worcester. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the CALLAHAN-FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
