MILLBURY-Jeanette K. (Spirkowyc) Verzillo, 80, a longtime resident of Millbury passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26 at Saint Vincent Hospital.
Her husband, Ralph J. Verzillo, Sr. passed away in 1995. She leaves behind three sons, Ralph Verzillo, Jr. of Millbury, Raymond Verzillo and his wife, Barbara of Worcester and Randy Verzillo and his wife, Terrie of Attleboro and three grandchildren, Zachary Verzillo, Brianna (Verzillo) Prouty and her husband, Jonathan and Devon Verzillo. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Stanley and Kazimiera (Zaleckis) Spirkowyc and graduated from Millbury High School and Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing. She received her Undergraduate Degree from Eastern Connecticut State College and her Master's Degree from Anne Marie College.
Jeanette had a long and distinguished career in Nursing management and administration and retired from Medinsights at the age of 77 as a Senior Nursing Consultant. She was a member of Saint Brigid's Church and was active in earlier years its CYO Sports program. Jeanette was the founder member of the Seven Hills Cribbage Club in Worcester. Jeanette was a light in her families lives, always keeping the laughter alive and she will be greatly missed by us all.
Visiting Hours will be held Friday, September 28 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 29 at 10:00 am at Saint Brigid's Church, 59 Main St. Millbury MA, (Please proceed directly to church). Burial will follow in Saint Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly, RI.
