Jeanne E. Mattson

WORCESTER- Jeanne E. (Elliot) Mattson, 63, died Thurs., May 3 in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves a daughter, Dawn DeCourcy and her husband John of North Brookfield; two sons, Brian Mattson and his wife LuAnn of Worcester and Kevin Blanchard of Leominster; five grandchildren, Lunden, Cameron, Brianna, Derek and Chantelle. She also leaves five brothers, James, Ray, Bobby, Frankie and Charlie; two sisters Judy and Mary; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, George, Big Frankie and Donald.

She was born in Millbury, daughter of Francis and Gladys (Gaulin) Elliot and graduated from Millbury High School. Jeanne was raised in Millbury, moved to Florida and then to Worcester where she has lived for twenty years. She was a nurse's aide for many years in various nursing homes and also volunteered at the Abby House.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 5 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM in the Cathedral of St. Paul, 15 Chatham St. Calling hours are from 9:00-10:30 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
