West Boylston
Jeannette Boynton 80, of 74 Franklin St. died Sunday, Dec. 5, at her longtime friend and caregiver's home, Mary Jane Konrad of 109 Pleasant St., Leicester, MA 01524, after a courageous 16 year battle with colon cancer.
She leaves a brother, Stanley M. and his wife Marjorie Boynton of Somerset and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers Charles F. Boynton and Kenneth C. Boynton, predeceased her. She was born in West Boylston, daughter of Charles F. And Louise E. (Whitcomb) Boynton and lived in West Boylston all of her life in the house in which she was born. She was educated in West Boylston Schools.
Jeannette was a traveling auditor and trainer for State Mutual Assurance Company, now Allmerica Company, for 35 years. She served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for 30 years and was a life member of the First Congregational Church, West Boylston, where she was active in many church committees. She served as the electoral warden for the Town of West Boylston for many years. She enjoyed boating, traveling and summering Maine.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, 26 Central St. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Calling Hours are Tuesday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the, Memorial Fund at the First Congregational Church, 26 Central St. West Boylston, MA 01583 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
