Jeanette L. (Trudeau) Pennery, 98, passed away peacefully in the presence of family members on October 15, 2018.

Jeanette was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Sidney E. Pennery, who died in 1978; her sister, Hazel L. Trudeau, for whom she cared for and lived with died in 2005; and six brothers including Korean War Corporal Norman F. Trudeau who went Missing in Action on December 15, 1950, and was presumed dead on January 15, 1954.

She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including Robert P. Spellane and his wife Brianne of Worcester; Kimberly A. Schoen and her husband Robert of Worcester; Brian P. Spellane of Roanoke, Va.; and Robert Roy and his wife Cathy of Sandwich, as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews, including Bobby, Annie, Michael and Patrick Spellane; Christopher, Colin, Emily and Ainsley Schoen; and Brandon Roy.

Born in Worcester, Mass., Jeanette was the daughter of the late Edward L. Trudeau and Elizabeth L. (Roach) Trudeau. She graduated from Fitchburg High School and later earned continuing education credits at Worcester State University, up until her mid 70's. A lifetime learner, Jeanette's extensive collection of President John F. Kennedy memorabilia was donated to and featured at the Worcester Public Library in 2013 in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of his assassination. Jeanette was a renowned baker and will be remembered for her love of life, fun-loving humor and love towards good friends and family.

Our family would like to extend sincere thanks to her extended family, friends and staff at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center at Worcester for their compassionate care of Jeanette over the past several years.

Friends are invited to visit with Jeanette's family on Friday, October 26 at 9:00 a.m. at Callahan-Fay Funeral Home on Myrtle Street in Worcester. Jeanette's Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John's Catholic Church on Temple Street. Interment will be held at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Fitchburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeanette can be made to Beaumont Worcester Resident Activity Fund, 378 Plantation Street Worcester, MA 01605.
