Jerry Okunko Glover, whose mortal remains lay in front of us this day was born on the 21st June, 1948 in Kokompe, Accra. He was the 4th

His father, a devoted Christian by then, baptized Jerry into the Methodist Fraternity at a very tender age of 5 years old. Okunko, as he was called by his numerous friends, started his primary education at the Abokobi Presbyterian School as a boarder and completed in August 1962. After completing his elementary education, he continued on at the Odorgonno Secondary School, where he passed his G.C.E O'Level Examination with Distinction in the year 1967.
While attending school, Jerry took sports very seriously and engaged in all sporting activities and athletics including football, but his favourite sport was table tennis in which he excelled. He was also a faithful supporter of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club (A true Phobian!!!).During those times, he fell in love with his first wife Madam Gifty (who passed away just a year ago in London) and their marriage was blessed with 2 sons, Tettey and Okuley Glover. Okunko worked briefly with his father who had retired from active service and was running his own business at the time.
He travelled to the United Kingdom where he worked for a couple of years. He later migrated on to the United States of America and settled permanently in Worcester, Massachusetts where he married his second wife, Delia McBean, and had a daughter by the name of Pamela Glover.Jerry moved out to California and became a Fashion Model. After a few years in the modeling industry, Jerry returned to Worcester and established his own taxi business which flourished
rapidly.
After a short while, Jerry also pursued his auctioneers license and later purchased a car lot, and started his own car dealership. He also frequented many auto auctions in the area where he would personally buy and sell cars for many customers and friends.
Jerry was very sociable, handsome, a great sense of humour and was admired by all he came into contact with.
Okunko, Rest peacefully in the blossom of Our Lord till the resurrection Day when we all meet in Paradise.
