Joan L. Ayrton

CHARLTON-Joan L. (Stockhaus) Ayrton, 63 of 91 Leland Rd. died Sunday, January 18th in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge. He husband, James O. Ayrton died in 1984. She leaves 2 uncles, Warren A. Stockhaus of Sutton and Donald E. Bergman of Millbury.

She was born in Worcester daughter of Irving F. and Dorothy M. (Bergman) Stockhaus and has lived in Charlton for 30 years. Mrs. Ayrton was a fraud investigator for Fleet Bank for 30 years retiring in 1988. She was a member at Grace Episcopal Church in Oxford and was a Past Worthy Advisor for the Bancroft Assembly Rainbow Girls of Worcester.

The funeral will be Wednesday, January 21st at 10:30 AM in Grace Episcopal Church, 270 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 20th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Bay State Chapter, 20 Walnut St., Wellesley, MA 02481 or to Grace Episcopal Church, 270 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540.
