Joanne R. (Guerra) Erickson, 83, of West Boylston passed away on Tuesday, June 13, in UMass Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

   Joanne was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 37 years, Roy A. Erickson in 1996; their love story remains an inspiration to all who knew them.
She is survived by her beloved son Kenneth R. Erickson and his wife Lauren of West Boylston; three cherished daughters Karen A. Astrella and her husband Michael of Worcester, Kristine M. Flanagan of West Boylston, and Kimberly J. Kevorkian and her husband David of Mendon; eight adored grandchildren - Nicole Erickson-Prunier and her husband Richard, Stephen Astrella, David Astrella and his wife Amber, Kerri, Kaitlyn & Daniel Flanagan and Isabella & Hayley Kevorkian; five great-grandchildren; and her dear companion George Morse of Shrewsbury.

   Joanne was born in Worcester to Louis and Congetta (Zona) Guerra and graduated from Commerce High School. A lifelong member of the Oakdale Methodist Church community, Joanne lived a full life filled with simple pleasures such as birdwatching in her yard. She spent many happy summers at Rusnik Campground in Salisbury indulging in her love for the beach.

   Funeral services were held privately with burial at High Plains Cemetery in West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Donor Services, P.O. Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
The memory of Joanne's kind heart and gentle spirit will forever remain an inspiration to all who were blessed to have known her. Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston  is directing funeral arrangements.
