South Grafton
Joanne K. Galli, 70, of 220 Providence Road, South Grafton, Massachusetts died Thursday, February 16, in the Jewish Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She leaves two sons, Michael J. Galli of Worcester and Christopher P. Galli also of Worcester. A sister, Judith E. Eaton of Westerly, Rhode Island and several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Joanne was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles H. and Theresa B. (Raleigh) Eaton and was a life long resident until moving to South Grafton three years ago. She graduated as a Horace Mann Scholar from Commerce High School in Worcester in three and a half years and after raising a family she returned to school at age 46, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Quinsigamond College with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. For the last ten years she has been co-owner, with her son Christopher, of North End Market on Lincoln Street and Tammany Hall on Pleasant Street, respectively.
Joanne's funeral will be held Tuesday, February 21, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St, Worcester, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday, February, 20, from to 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
