SHREWSBURY-Jodi A. Whalen, 39, of the Irving A. Glavin Regional Center died Wednesday, Jan. 4 at St. Vincent's Hospital peacefully with her family by her side.
She leaves her parents, Raymond D. and June O. (Swift) Whalen of Worcester; three brothers, James P. and his wife Mary of Worcester, Thomas J. and his wife Maria of Worcester and David S. and his wife Cynthia of Auburn; her sister, Eileen R. Welton and her husband, Mark of Marlboro; six nieces and three nephews. A brother, John died in 1964 and a sister, Patricia died in 1959.
Jodi was born in Worcester and attended Mill Swan School. She loved music and cartoons. Jodi spent 28 years at the Irving A. Glavin Regional Center and the family would like to give a special thanks to all who cared for Jodi especially Sarah Mitchell.
The funeral will be Saturday, January 7 from the CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. at st. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours will be Friday, January 6 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Irving A. Glavin Regional Center, Atttention: Special Funds, 214 Lake St., Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
