Joel Thomas Dodd

Worcester- Joel Thomas Dodd, 67, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Worcester on April 13, 1956, a son of the late Brian D. Dodd and Shirley (Field) Dodd Gaboury. Joel attended Doherty High School and worked for many years at TJ Maxx company for many years.

He leaves behind his son, Thomas Joel Dodd; four brothers, James Dodd and his wife, Judy of Southborough, Stephen Dodd and his wife, Susan of Florida, Robert Dodd and his wife, Eileen of Florida, Randy Dodd Worcester; six sisters, Paula Gardner of Whitinsville, Pamela Lapensee and her husband, Edward of Worcester, Regina Mitchell and her husband, Fred of Worcester, Kathleen Armstrong and her husband, Paul of Florida, Sandra Valinski and her husband, Peter of Holden, Tracy Gerardi and her husband, Tony of Worcester; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, Joel was predeceased by his stepfather, Alfred Gaboury; his brother-in-law, James Mitchell and his niece, Michele (Lapensee) Lisee.

His family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to his caregivers, Marlene, Meaghan, Kim and Pam of JHC Hospice for their exceptional care.

Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements are in the care of the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
