WORCESTER-Johanna Marie Rajotte (née Kowalewski) passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones after enduring a long journey with Alzheimer's dementia. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Rajotte and Ekaterini Fotiadis-Rajotte, three grandchildren, Kiriaki Rajotte, Johanna Rajotte and Joseph Rajotte, her beloved pets, Karlie, Luna and Percy, a brother-in-law, Roland Rajotte of Sutton and sister-in-law, Gloria Cournoyer and her husband, Bernard Cournoyer of Northbridge and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Ronald Rajotte, brother Edward Kowalewski, sister Esther Tetreault and nephew John Tetreault.

Johanna was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on February 4, 1938 to parents John and Julia Kowalewski (née Krupinski). She graduated from Commerce High School. After graduating, she worked part-time for Whitman’s Creamery and later as a telephone operator supervisor for New England Telephone and Telegraph. In 1961, she married Ronald Rajotte and became a mother the following year. As a homemaker and caretaker, she always kept her door open and kitchen stocked for her many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending summers at the camp in Charlton, filled with water skiing on the lake and family cookouts. When she became a grandmother in her later years, she dotted on her grandchildren, spending many weekends hosting sleepovers, movie nights and visits to the parks.

In her later years, she relished the company of her family, friends and cherished pets who brought her many smiles. She enjoyed spending her days completing puzzles, painting birdhouses, watching her favorite movies and singing songs from her younger days. She was a long-time member of St. John’s Church in Worcester.

A Visiting Hour will be held Wednesday, April  9 from 10 to 11am in St. John’s Church, 44 Temple St. a Funeral Mass will follow at 11am in the Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
