WORCESTER-John "Mike" Boyle, 70, of Worcester, left us peacefully on Friday, March 13 at home with his loving wife of 49 years, Donna M. (Davis) Boyle by his side. He has now joined his family and friends that have passed before him to join the Lord.
Mike leaves two sons, John M. Boyle, Jr. of Worcester and Charles W. Boyle of Norfolk, VA; two daughters, Gina M. Ahaesy and Cindy L. Stevens, both of Spencer; 12 grandchildren, Curtis Grady, Jessica Boyle, Natalie Stevens, Donna Ahaesy, Jenna Boyle, Daniel Stevens, Holly Boyle, Victoria Ahaesy, Emily Casey, Zachary Boyle, Patric Boyle and Joshua Boyle; and two great grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Charles W. Boyle, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Oxford and Edward J. Boyle of Webster.
He was born in Worcester, son of Charles W. Boyle, Sr. and Rose (McCall) Boyle. Mike was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War Era and then served in the Army Reserves for four years. He owned and operated the former Mike's Texaco on Millbury Street for many years, and most recently, Mike was employed by Sunnyside Ford in Holden. Mike's hobby was antique automobiles and he was co-founder of the Hyway Cruizer's Car Club. He enjoyed the many miles and car shows they attended together. Mike will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Mike's funeral will be held on Thursday, March 19 from CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday, March 18 from 5:30-7:30 PM in the funeral home.
